This piece of art is born from a series of actions I carried out outdoors. Every tape belongs to a particular drift I performed. It consists of unfolding the tape along the landscape by stepping on it while unfolding it. Then I roll it on itself to repeat the same route in the opposite direction.
The action is repeated using tapes of different lengths and colors, obtaining in each case a completely different result, even when the tapes are the same length, as they collect different sorts of natural materials.
Thus, the tape as a completed piece of art, turns out to be a witness of the route—of my personal experience—in turn. Besides, this art-tape has the ability to outgrow its origins and become able to communicate its purpose on different contexts, such as an exhibition room. The tape as a memory, as a measure of space, as an action, as a piece of art.
